Prof. Xing has been conducting research on biochemical engineering, ,synthetic biotechnology and biomanufacturing, biopharmaceutical and health engineering, and promoting translation research for industrial application. He serves editor-in-chief and editorial board of over ten domestic and international journals. He had ever served the 10th-12th National Committee Member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Member of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, Vice Chairman of Beijing Overseas Chinese Federation, Chairman of Tsinghua University Overseas Chinese Federation. Now he is the Beijing Municipal Counselor.
