Wang Da, a member of the Communist Party of China, holds a Ph.D. in Science. He currently serves as Secretary of the CPC Leading Party Members Group of the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology and Director-General of the Bureau.

He previously served as Member of the Leading Party Members Group and Vice Mayor of Zhangping, a county-level city in Fujian Province, and as Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Huli District Committee and Deputy District Mayor of Huli District, Xiamen.

He has received the First Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award from the People’s Government of Hubei Province and from the Changjiang Water Resources Commission of the Ministry of Water Resources of China.
