Wang Binying, female, Chinese nationality, born in 1952. She graduated from Zhongnan University in China with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in English, Communication and Transportation. She also obtained a Master of Laws degree including industrial property law from the School of Law University of California, Berkeley, and a Diploma in American law from Columbia Law School in New York, USA. She currently serves as the Deputy Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), in charge of Brands and Designs Sector. Before joining WIPO in 1992, she held positions such as Director and Acting Director General of the Department for Registration of Enterprises and Foreign Companies under the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC), and Managing Director of the China Trademark Service.
