Benoît Dubuis, male, Swiss national, born in 1966, is a Foreign Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. He is currently President of the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences, Council Member of the International Council of Academies of Engineering and Technological Sciences (CAETS), Professor at the University of Geneva (UNIGE) and Chairman of the Swiss Inartis Innovation Foundation.
He previously served as the Founding Dean of the School of Life Sciences at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and the founder of the Swiss National Biotech Park, among other positions. The Sino-Swiss Institute of Advanced Technology under his leadership focuses on the research and development of intelligent sensing chips, covering the fields of health detection, disease diagnosis and flexible electronic materials, and has advanced scientific and technological innovation and achievement transformation between China and Switzerland.
