Mr Shi Yigong, is an academician of the Chinese Academy ofSciences,PresidentofWestlakeUniversity,aforeignacademician of the United States National Academy of Sciences,aforeign academician of the American Academy of Arts andSciences, and Deputy Chair of the China Association for Scienceand Technology.Prof. Shi mainly uses biochemical and biophysical methods tostudy the molecular mechanism of cell apoptosis, the structureand function of important membrane proteins, and intracellularbiologicalmacromolecules.Heanalyzesthekeycomplexstructureofeukaryoticmessenger RNA splicing bodies andreveals active sites and molecule layer mechanisms. Prof. Shi isa recipient of the Raymond and Beverly Sackler InternationalPrize in Biophysics, the Gregori Aminoff Prize of the RoyalSwedish Academy of Sciences, the Life Science Award of theFuture Science Prize, and other important academic awards.
