Dr. Denis Simon , born in 1952, won the China National FriendshipAward in 2006. He has served as a tenured Full Professor at anumber of top-tier US universities, including RPI, PennStateUniversity, SUNY, the University of Oregon, and Arizona StateUniversity. He also served on the faculty at the Sloan School ofManagement at MIT and the Fletcher School at Tufts University aswell as a guest professor at Columbia University. Along with adistinguished academic career, he has served in senior leadershippositions in management consulting firms, including AndersenConsulting China (now Accenture) and Monitor Group China.From 2015 to 2020, Dr. Simon was the Executive Vice-ChancellorofDukeKunshanUniversity—aSimon-foreign jointventurelocated in Jiangsu, China. He is the author of numerous books andscholarlyarticles,including“China’sEmergingTechnologicalEdge: The Role of High End Talent”.
